Lorraine received her early training in Leicester as a chorister and later in the Leicester school's special choir, gaining a scholarship to further her studies. She studied music at St Peter’s College of Education and Bristol University.
Her teachers include Norma Burrows, Professor G Mantle-Childe and Gwen Annear. Lorraine is a member of the Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS) and a member of the British Voice Association (BVA). Recent qualifications include Post Graduate Certificate (Level 7) in Applied Professional Practice specialising in vocal pedagogy at the Cardiff Metropolitan University.

With over 25 years of teaching experience, and being a current member of BVA (British Voice Association), AOTOS (Association of Teachers of Singing), Lorraine incorporates the established teaching methods of ‘Bel Canto’ as well as ‘Estill’, ‘Core’ and ‘Alexander Techniques’ keeping up to date with modern ideas and research.
Accreditations: LRSM (Performers) and ISM Registered Private Teacher, Certificate in vocal pedagogy level 1 & 2 at Masters level 2016, Current Enhanced CRB.
